Reissue of classic 1969 second album by legendary UK psych /freak/beat album. Fascinating example of a legendary British underground band developing its song writing skills in the early Seventies. Featuring on their first 1967 LP the vocal talents of the underrated Elmer Gantry, Gantry left the group before recording this, their second release. The group also included John Ford and Richard , who wrote most of the material. They would later go on to fame in the Strawbs and wrote hits for their own successful group Hudson Ford. Elmer Gantry resurfaced later in the rock band Stretch. The CD includes 12 excellent originals. This album (compared to the first) is more instrumentally based with a trippy 6 minute minute Eastern workout "Raga" and mind fry lengthy instrumental version of "Eleanor Rigby". Contains 2 bonus tracks.
